Virtual 3D visualization of a 17th century coffin from the Sophienkirche in Dresden

The grave finds from the Sophienkirche in Dresden, which was destroyed in 1945, include various coffin parts from the 17th century. As part of the redesign of the permanent exhibition of the Dresden City Museum, the existing historical coffin fragments were photorealistically modeled by us, three-dimensionally depicted and virtually assembled into a complete coffin. Through the virtual visualisation of the found coffin fragments, the artefacts become visible and playful for the visitors* inside the exhibition via a multi-touch media station.

Intuitive UI/UX Design

In addition, an in-depth, interactive knowledge level was integrated. Via an intuitive navigation, information on the grave finds of the Sophienkirche can be retrieved interactively. All interaction possibilities were designed in a high-quality User Interface Design (UI), user-friendly and understandable.
